About Data-a-thon

Data-a-thon is the event filled with series of key activities like presentation, idea discussion and hands-on workshop. It's a one day workshop where the print and online journalists from mainstream media outlets and the representative of different youth and tech organization from diverse backgrounds will be invited, where they will go through the intensive hands-on workshop.

The Data-a-thon will also give an opportunity to participants to share their unique experience and struggle while working in data which can inspire others journalist participants to move forward with data-driven storytelling. Along with the presentation, participants will discuss and brainstorm the possible data-driven storytelling idea which they can work during the Data-a-thon with the support and suggestion from the CSO representative.

The participating journalists and youths will sit together to brainstorm and analyze different kinds of available data and present the output which can be later shown in the main event and can be understood by the normal people with very low literacy.
